Greetings from Paramaribo;
It is Sunday morning as I write this. Diana has a list of things I need to do or get done. But we need a better system. Saturday morning when it is cool enough to work outside we are running around getting the things we need to do the things we want to do. As we find stores closer to home to get the things we need, more gets done.
This last week a friend here offered to give us some plants. Diana can’t turn down plants so we went to thier home to pick the plants up. Diana insisted on saying yes as she offered this plant or that plant. Thursday I borrowed a shove, it rained after work, Friday it rained after work. Saturday it rained hard so we went shopping and got batteries for the tennis racket mosquito killer, a lightbulb for a lamp & other stuff. Once home again at noon, I planted two members of the banana family and three members of the papaya family one tree/bush of some kind and some lemon grass, in our yard. Still on her list is “put fly screen on doors and windows” and find furniture for the part of the house we are not using yet. Thursday Diana needed an excuse to see if the oven on the stove worked. I took oatmeal raisin bars to work. My coworkers repetedly expressed the need for her to verify that the oven works on a weekly basis.
It is rainy season and Friday night reminded me of the rains in Venezuela. Rain roaring on the metal roof and lakes in the streets. The engine that was ordered over two years ago from the US arrived on Friday. I have been working on planning and organizing 4 projects that will happen before September. Avionics upgrades in three aircraft, Install the new engine and get that aircraft ready to fly again. Also help organize for a friend from Nampa coming for 6 weeks to get experience in the hangar, To say the least I am busy. Ill try to keep you posted.
Something I learned that I hadn’t thought of while living in the US. I can fill my prescriptions in the us by internet from here, I may be able to have them shipped by the pharmacy even, But I can’t have a friend pick them up and send them. Of course not right? This means I have to find a local MD and go through the process of having him decide what he will prescribe for me. Yay!!
Psalm 121: 5-8
5.) The LORD watches over you— the LORD is your shade at your right hand; 6.) the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. 7.) The LORD will keep you from all harm — he will watch over your life; 8.) the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.
With our love and hope in Jesus.
